In October 2004 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Contemplating Under A Pine Tree by Kun Can. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 501,900.00 (€ 50,560.14), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kun Can achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sleeping On The Rock in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 5,290,000.00 (€ 544,620.91).

Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Contemplating Under A Pine Tree von Kun Can zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 501.900,00 (€ 50.560,14) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kun Can erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sleeping On The Rock im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.290.000,00 (€ 544.620,91).
