Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Kun Can was auctioned at POLY in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 3,075.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kun Can achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sleeping On The Rock in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 5,290,000.00 (€ 544,620.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Kun Can kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei POLY zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 3.075,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kun Can erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sleeping On The Rock im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.290.000,00 (€ 544.620,91).
