Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Autumn Riverbank by Kun Can was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 177,053.69) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kun Can - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sleeping On The Rock, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 5,290,000.00 (€ 544,620.91).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Autumn Riverbank von Kun Can kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 177.053,69) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kun Can mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sleeping On The Rock beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 5.290.000,00 (€ 544.620,91) versteigert wurde.
