Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition abstraite by Kumi Sugai was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 75,600.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kumi Sugai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work KAGURA (Sacred Music and Dance), which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 293,000.00 (€ 277,409.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition abstraite von Kumi Sugai kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 75.600,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kumi Sugai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit KAGURA (Sacred Music and Dance) beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 293.000,00 (€ 277.409,58) versteigert wurde.
