Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Moth by Ku Fu-Sheng was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 70,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,852.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ku Fu-Sheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sitting High(Painted In 1960), which sold at auction in March 2019 for HKD 330,400.00 (€ 37,489.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Moth von Ku Fu-Sheng kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.852,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ku Fu-Sheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sitting High(Painted In 1960) beobachtet, die im März 2019 für HKD 330.400,00 (€ 37.489,28) versteigert wurde.
