Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Krishen Khanna was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,267.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Krishen Khanna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Anatomy Lesson in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Krishen Khanna kam im März 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 19.267,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Krishen Khanna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Anatomy Lesson im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
