The auction ended at the price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,466.45), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 35,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Krishen Khanna have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Anatomy Lesson in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).

Die Arbeit The Sedge has Withered from the Lake von Krishen Khanna wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 42.466,45) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Krishen Khanna auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Anatomy Lesson im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
