Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Youth by Korehiko Hino was worth HKD 991,500.00 (€ 81,626.70) to a buyer in May 2008. This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Korehiko Hino; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Is It a Dream sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of HKD 1,807,500.00 (€ 158,008.58).
