Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Two-faced by Korehiko Hino was worth HKD 156,000.00 (€ 15,669.29) to a buyer in May 2006. This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Korehiko Hino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Is It a Dream in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,807,500.00 (€ 158,008.58).

Die Arbeit Two-faced von Korehiko Hino war einem Käufer im Mai 2006 HKD 156.000,00 (€ 15.669,29) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Korehiko Hino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Is It a Dream im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.807.500,00 (€ 158.008,58).
