Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Flower Nobleman by Korehiko Hino was worth HKD 907,500.00 (€ 74,711.28) to a buyer in May 2008. This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Korehiko Hino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Is It a Dream, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 1,807,500.00 (€ 158,008.58).
