Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Candy Series #P04 by Koo Seong Youn for HKD 1,500.00 (€ 169.30). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Koo Seong Youn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Candy Series #V.01; Candy Series #V.04; & Candy Series #V.05 in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 12,396.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Candy Series #P04 von Koo Seong Youn für HKD 1.500,00 (€ 169,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Koo Seong Youn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Candy Series #V.01; Candy Series #V.04; & Candy Series #V.05 im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 12.396,06).
