Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Candy Series # b.01, 02 by Koo Seong Youn was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,910.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Koo Seong Youn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Candy Series #V.01; Candy Series #V.04; & Candy Series #V.05, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 12,396.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Candy Series # b.01, 02 von Koo Seong Youn wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 5.910,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Koo Seong Youn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Candy Series #V.01; Candy Series #V.04; & Candy Series #V.05 beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 12.396,06) versteigert wurde.
