This artwork by Konstantin Korovin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2020. In the Russian Art auction, the work A French port in summer sold for GBP 250,000.00 (€ 279,084.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Konstantin Korovin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View From The Terrace, Gurzuf in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,497,250.00 (€ 1,892,574.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Konstantin Korovin erzielte im November 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Art wurde die Arbeit A French port in summer für GBP 250.000,00 (€ 279.084,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Konstantin Korovin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View From The Terrace, Gurzuf im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.497.250,00 (€ 1.892.574,20).
