Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work New Year Blessings by Kong Xiaoyu was worth HKD 300,000.00 (€ 31,654.80) to a buyer in April 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kong Xiaoyu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sacred Articles sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of HKD 460,200.00 (€ 52,600.18).
Kunstwerk zum Sechsfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit New Year Blessings von Kong Xiaoyu war einem Käufer im April 2018 HKD 300.000,00 (€ 31.654,80) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kong Xiaoyu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sacred Articles im Oktober 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 460.200,00 (€ 52.600,18).
