In July 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Flowers and Cats by Kong Xiaoyu. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,715.81), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kong Xiaoyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sacred Articles in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 460,200.00 (€ 52,600.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers and Cats von Kong Xiaoyu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.715,81) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kong Xiaoyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sacred Articles im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 460.200,00 (€ 52.600,18).
