The work New Year Blessings by Kong Xiaoyu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,603.33), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kong Xiaoyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sacred Articles, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 460,200.00 (€ 52,600.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit New Year Blessings von Kong Xiaoyu wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.603,33) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Kong Xiaoyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sacred Articles beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 460.200,00 (€ 52.600,18) versteigert wurde.
