The work Twenty-Eight Mansions – Room by Kong Lingnan was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The auction ended at the price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,866.98), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kong Lingnan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Drifting Peninsula I (Triptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,166.24).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Twenty-Eight Mansions – Room von Kong Lingnan kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.866,98) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kong Lingnan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Drifting Peninsula I (Triptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.166,24).
