Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Island 2 by Kong Lingnan was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 53,100.00 (€ 5,817.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kong Lingnan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Drifting Peninsula I (Triptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,166.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Island 2 von Kong Lingnan wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 53.100,00 (€ 5.817,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kong Lingnan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Drifting Peninsula I (Triptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.166,24).
