Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Spring III 1105.11.15 by Kong Lingnan was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,325.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kong Lingnan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Drifting Peninsula I (Triptych), which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,166.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Spring III 1105.11.15 von Kong Lingnan wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.325,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kong Lingnan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Drifting Peninsula I (Triptych) beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.166,24) versteigert wurde.
