The work PixCell-Carp #5 by Kohei Nawa was sold in the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 882,000.00 (€ 103,498.35), 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Kohei Nawa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work PixCell-Jackalope #5 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit PixCell-Carp #5 von Kohei Nawa wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 103.498,35) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kohei Nawa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit PixCell-Jackalope #5 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83).
