This artwork by Kohei Nawa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work PixCell-Bambi#3 sold for HKD 1,270,000.00 (€ 148,704.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kohei Nawa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work PixCell-Jackalope #5 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kohei Nawa erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit PixCell-Bambi#3 für HKD 1.270.000,00 (€ 148.704,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kohei Nawa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit PixCell-Jackalope #5 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83).
