Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included this untitled work by Kim Whan-Ki. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 84,000.00 (€ 62,808.43). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Whan-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 101,955,000.00 (€ 11,824,892.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kim Whan-Ki zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 84.000,00 (€ 62.808,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Whan-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 101.955.000,00 (€ 11.824.892,46).
