This work without title by Kim Whan-Ki was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. It achieved a price of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 139,744.12), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 32%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Whan-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 101,955,000.00 (€ 11,824,892.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kim Whan-Ki kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 139.744,12) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 32%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Whan-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 101.955.000,00 (€ 11.824.892,46).
