This artwork by Kim Whan-Ki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. In the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction, the work without title sold for HKD 5,800,000.00 (€ 708,388.56) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Whan-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 101,955,000.00 (€ 11,824,892.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kim Whan-Ki erzielte im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 5.800.000,00 (€ 708.388,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Whan-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 101.955.000,00 (€ 11.824.892,46).
