Auction result well in line with expectations
The work FLEUR DE LOTUS (LOTUS FLOWER) by Kim Whan-Ki was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. The price achieved of HKD 3,060,000.00 (€ 372,881.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Whan-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 101,955,000.00 (€ 11,824,892.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit FLEUR DE LOTUS (LOTUS FLOWER) von Kim Whan-Ki kam im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 3.060.000,00 (€ 372.881,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.500.000,00 – 3.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Whan-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 101.955.000,00 (€ 11.824.892,46).
