Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (from the First Temple of Flight series) by Khaled Hafez for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,566.44). This price was achieved in the auction Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art at Christies in Dubai and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Khaled Hafez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tomb Sonata In Three Military Movements II in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 52,209.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (from the First Temple of Flight series) von Khaled Hafez für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.566,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Khaled Hafez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tomb Sonata In Three Military Movements II im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 52.209,90).
