The work Ascension Viii by Khaled Ben Slimane was auctioned at Sothebys in Doha in December 2010. The price achieved of USD 92,500.00 (€ 69,711.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Ascension Viii is the most expensive artwork by Khaled Ben Slimane that we have observed at auctions so far.
