Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Ascension XIII by Khaled Ben Slimane for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,867.30). This price was achieved in the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Khaled Ben Slimane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ascension Viii in December 2010 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 69,711.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ascension XIII von Khaled Ben Slimane für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.867,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Khaled Ben Slimane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ascension Viii im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 69.711,36).
