A top price for Kevin Lincoln - as previously expected
The work Australian Mauve by Kevin Lincoln was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. It changed hands for a price of AUD 14,400.00 (€ 8,466.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Australian Mauve is the most expensive artwork by Kevin Lincoln that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Australian Mauve von Kevin Lincoln wurde im August 2009 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 14.400,00 (€ 8.466,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Australian Mauve das teuerste Kunstwerk von Kevin Lincoln, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
