Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ker-Xavier Roussel could be acquired at Sothebys in London in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso auction, the work Tasse et cuillère sur une nappe blanche changed hands for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,893.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ker-Xavier Roussel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Saisons de la vie in October this year with an auction result of EUR 201,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ker-Xavier Roussel konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso wechselte die Arbeit Tasse et cuillère sur une nappe blanche für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.893,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ker-Xavier Roussel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Saisons de la vie im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 201.600,00.
