Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Verona II by Kenneth Rowntree was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 637.50 (€ 747.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kenneth Rowntree achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grove House, Levisham Evening in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,599.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Verona II von Kenneth Rowntree wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 637,50 (€ 747,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kenneth Rowntree erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grove House, Levisham Evening im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.599,97).
