Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2003 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work The Last Armada by Kenneth Denton Shoesmith. The price achieved of USD 3,585.00 (€ 3,338.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Kenneth Denton Shoesmith have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2010 the work Rio De Janeiro was auctioned for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,974.99).
