Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Property from the Estate of Sir John and Lady Smith, which included the work 'Canadian Pacific / Beautiful Lake Louise In The Canadian Rockies' by Kenneth Denton Shoesmith. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,058.63). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kenneth Denton Shoesmith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rio De Janeiro, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,974.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Property from the Estate of Sir John and Lady Smith durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Canadian Pacific / Beautiful Lake Louise In The Canadian Rockies' von Kenneth Denton Shoesmith zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.058,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kenneth Denton Shoesmith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rio De Janeiro beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.974,99) versteigert wurde.
