Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2014 Christies in London held the auction The Art of Travel, which included the work Cunard Line, Europe-America by Kenneth Denton Shoesmith. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,904.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Kenneth Denton Shoesmith have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2010 the work Rio De Janeiro was auctioned for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,974.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Art of Travel durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cunard Line, Europe-America von Kenneth Denton Shoesmith zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.904,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Kenneth Denton Shoesmith konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2010 die Arbeit Rio De Janeiro für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.974,99) versteigert.
