Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The artist's table by Ken Moroney was sold in the Twentieth Century British Art auction at Christies in London in July 2003. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 767.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Ken Moroney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Punch and Judy in September 2002 with an auction result of GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,547.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The artist's table von Ken Moroney wurde im Juli 2003 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587,50 (€ 767,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ken Moroney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Punch and Judy im September 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.232,50 (€ 3.547,96).
