A top price for Ken Johnson - as previously expected
In April 2005 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Dual Focus by Ken Johnson. The price achieved of AUD 11,950.00 (€ 7,246.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Dual Focus is the most expensive artwork by Ken Johnson that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2005 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dual Focus von Ken Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 11.950,00 (€ 7.246,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Dual Focus das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ken Johnson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
