Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Operator Painting (n Pigeons) by Keith Tyson for GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,768.95). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art | London at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Tyson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature Painting in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 216,000.00 (€ 320,533.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Operator Painting (n Pigeons) von Keith Tyson für GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.768,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art | London bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Tyson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature Painting im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 216.000,00 (€ 320.533,14).
