Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work “Insomnia Nurse”, 2006 by Keith Tyson was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 2,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,400.00 (€ 187.59). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Tyson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature Painting in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 216,000.00 (€ 320,533.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit “Insomnia Nurse”, 2006 von Keith Tyson im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 2.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.400,00 (€ 187,59) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Tyson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature Painting im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 216.000,00 (€ 320.533,14).
