Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kees van Dongen could be acquired at Christies in London in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Evening Sale auction, the work Moi et la femme changed hands for USD 1,623,000.00 (€ 1,487,898.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kees van Dongen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Quiétude in October this year with an auction result of GBP 10,775,000.00 (€ 12,372,693.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kees van Dongen konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale wechselte die Arbeit Moi et la femme für USD 1.623.000,00 (€ 1.487.898,79) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kees van Dongen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Quiétude im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.775.000,00 (€ 12.372.693,51).
