In the Masterpieces from the Collection of Sam Josefowitz: A Lifetime of Discovery and Scholarship auction, the work La Quiétude sold for GBP 10,775,000.00 (€ 12,372,693.51) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000,000.00. This high result makes La Quiétude the most expensive artwork by Kees van Dongen that we have observed at auctions so far.
