In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included this untitled work by Kcho. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,530.00), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Kcho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La columna infinita II in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kcho zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.530,00) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kcho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La columna infinita II im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44).
