Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kcho could be acquired at Christies in New York in September last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Luz propia changed hands for USD 7,560.00 (€ 7,727.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kcho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La columna infinita II in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kcho konnte im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art wechselte die Arbeit Luz propia für USD 7.560,00 (€ 7.727,69) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kcho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La columna infinita II im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44).
