Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ujikawa by Kazuo Shiraga was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 19,650,000.00 (€ 2,332,876.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000,000.00 – 24,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kazuo Shiraga - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Takao, which sold at auction in June 2018 for EUR 8,731,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ujikawa von Kazuo Shiraga wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 19.650.000,00 (€ 2.332.876,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000.000,00 – 24.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kazuo Shiraga mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Takao beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für EUR 8.731.400,00 versteigert wurde.
