This artwork by Kazuo Nakamura achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2011. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Core Waves No. 3 sold for CAD 94,500.00 (€ 68,867.76) - well above the upper estimate of CAD 50,000.00. This high result makes Core Waves No. 3 the most expensive artwork by Kazuo Nakamura that we have observed at auctions so far.
