In April 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Bridges Winter by Kazuo Nakamura for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,839.80). This price was achieved in the auction Joseph H. Hirshhorn: Collector for A Nation - An Online Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Kazuo Nakamura have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Core Waves No. 3 in November 2011 with an auction result of CAD 94,500.00 (€ 68,867.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bridges Winter von Kazuo Nakamura für USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.839,80) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Joseph H. Hirshhorn: Collector for A Nation - An Online Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kazuo Nakamura auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Core Waves No. 3 im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 94.500,00 (€ 68.867,76).
