Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in Sidney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Thorny Devil Lizard Dreaming (My Country), 1997 by Kathleen Petyarre. The price achieved of AUD 18,450.00 (€ 17,193.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Kathleen Petyarre have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2019 the work Atnangkere Soakage (Mountain Devil Lizard) was auctioned for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,267.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Sidney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thorny Devil Lizard Dreaming (My Country), 1997 von Kathleen Petyarre zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 18.450,00 (€ 17.193,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden.
