A top price for Kathleen Petyarre - as previously expected
In December 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Aboriginal Art, which included the work Atnangkere Soakage (Mountain Devil Lizard) by Kathleen Petyarre. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,267.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Atnangkere Soakage (Mountain Devil Lizard) is the most expensive artwork by Kathleen Petyarre that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Aboriginal Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Atnangkere Soakage (Mountain Devil Lizard) von Kathleen Petyarre zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.267,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00.
