Upper estimate price exceeded by 43 %.
In March last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong, which included the work The Three-Eyed One!! by Kasing Lung. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 21,420.00 (€ 2,465.82), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kasing Lung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 147,052.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Three-Eyed One!! von Kasing Lung zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 21.420,00 (€ 2.465,82) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kasing Lung erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 147.052,17).
