Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction NO REGRETS: 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale, which included the work Magellanic Clouds by Kasing Lung. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 35,280.00 (€ 36,027.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Kasing Lung have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 147,052.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion NO REGRETS: 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Magellanic Clouds von Kasing Lung zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 35.280,00 (€ 36.027,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kasing Lung auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 147.052,17).
