The work Yau Shinobazu no ike (Night rain at Shinobazu Pond), 1938.1 Kasumu yube Shinobazu ike no hotori (Beside Shinobazu Pond on a foggy evening), first published 1932 Ame ni ... to (Tokyo Yanaka) (Rainy evening at ... pagoda, Yanaka, Tokyo), first by [Shiro Kasamatsu was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,680.00 (€ 1,256.17). Admittedly, works by Shiro Kasamatsu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Snow At The Stone Garden (Yuki No Ishiniwa) in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,577.66).

Die Arbeit Yau Shinobazu no ike (Night rain at Shinobazu Pond), 1938.1 Kasumu yube Shinobazu ike no hotori (Beside Shinobazu Pond on a foggy evening), first published 1932 Ame ni ... to (Tokyo Yanaka) (Rainy evening at ... pagoda, Yanaka, Tokyo), first von [Shiro Kasamatsu wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.680,00 (€ 1.256,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shiro Kasamatsu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Snow At The Stone Garden (Yuki No Ishiniwa) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.577,66).
